Carol chose the prompt "Of the Sea" for our torso this week at Something Completely Different.
I have very little in the way of sea related stamps
...something I will have to try and rectify soon if possible :)
I ended up doing this.
I painted the background with Adirondack Dimensional acrylics (stream and pesto) watered down they still have a glimmery finish to them :)
....stamped the compass in Adirondack dye ink stream and the lovely CS freebie stamp from Crafty Individuals in lettuce
I spritzed some tissue paper with glimmer mists in patina and frozen lake and draped it across then added some diamond glitter glue and sprinkled some loose glitter over
...the metal twisty bit of the necklace is from a cava bottle fastening
.............(now there's a surprise!! LOL) with added seed beads at the top and an acrylic shell embellishment fastened with a bit of raffia.
Now don't forget that this is also a swap month.....one for one....so you don't have to have made a torso every week to take part :) Just e-mail Carol for the details and can't wait to see what goodies I receive :)
Thanks for looking and happy stamping.
xoxo Sioux
