Remember I told you about Gabriel's Inferno  ? ;)
Read it and loved it ;) Remember I could not find the sequel Gabriel's Rapture in the Kindle bookstore?
Well hurrah! It suddenly appeared so I had to have it LOL

It is not a Shades of Grey type book although there are some sexy episodes in it!!

I like it on both counts for that ;) So I've finished this and would recommend the series if you are on the lookout for a replacement to Mr Grey....Gabriel is also a caring, dishy, sexy, complex, vulnerable, but not so kinky guy who wears suits!!!

Aaah! I think I see where the fascination with Mr Grey Suit Guy might be coming from!!! ROFLIA :) :) :)

The good news is there is book 3 in the writing....you can count me in on that when it comes out :)

Garden Update

Joanne asked the other day how my garden was, so here is a little update if you are interested ;)
A year on from the make over my garden looks like this

and this

As opposed to this

and this!!

I have to be honest, I'd hoped that most things would have been a lot bigger than they are by now, I'm sure if Monty Don had planted them they would be!!! I suppose I should be grateful that they are still alive with the weather we have had this year!! LOL

So the Mahonia is bigger now

than last year

The Aucuba is bigger now

than last year

The bamboo is bigger now

than last year (very happy with that)

Last years narrow border

This years narrow border

Last years larger border

This years larger border

I spent the day relaxing in my garden

It's what it was made for :)

the only concession to the fact it's October was wearing a pair of socks!!

Aaah bliss! :) :)

Touch me!

What can I say! ;)

This is in my very small journal and was inspired by one of my unreal real dreams the other night...
...and no I'm not that weird! There was not a skeleton fondling me!!!
It's quite a shocking experience to have such real and tactile dream's.
I was torn between not wanting it to end and wishing that it would!!!
Scary and sexy at the same time...yikes!!! LOL

I just know I must have been making some funny noises as I eventually snapped out of the dream!!! ROFL
Thanks for looking.

Resist Temptation? Not me!!

Mmmm...How could I resist?

I'm not one to deny temptation...it's all around us and life is too short to resist!!! ROFL

The resist bit is the T!m scroll stamped in Versamark and clear embossed on a buff tag and aged mahogany tapped over a chicken wire mask.
Aged mahogany inks and Dylusions chocolate pretty much does the rest.
Just for a bit of contrast the sentiment "Why resist temptation" is stamped onto card coloured with Dylusions lemon zing and vibrant turquoise (the amalgamation makes that fabby green!)
Pity that I can't get the circular element in the corner to photograph better 'cos in reality it's a Cava top that actually says "Cava" and is coloured with red alcohol inks.....
....it's the reason for the tag!!!
Hey ho....try and imagine it if you can!

Hope you liked your visit today.
This has given me another idea for a journal page ;)

My mojo, even though you might not think so (thanks for your continuing support with your much appreciated comments), is so hard to come by in the past few months that this tag was something I just had to do :) :)

Dating Me?!

Mmmm... no I'm not dating anyone....sadly the man in the grey suit has not turned up yet! LOL
But I'll let you into a secret......I joined a couple of dating sites.
...I'd rather like to have someone to cuddle...and the love I get from the visiting cat is not enough to satisfy my needs....wink, wink, say no more ;) ;)

I have to say the dating sites have left me rather under whelmed!!! ROFL

Firstly...if the blokes are around my age they seem in the main to look old enough to be my dad.....hell....most of the rest that the sites say are a match ARE old enough to be my dad!

And at my age that's not something that turns me on in the slightest!

Perhaps they think I look old enough to be their mother who knows?!!!

Because, secondly.....you won't get to know someone if they are not prepared to engage in initial messaging conversation!!! I've sent messages and no one bothers to even reply "sorry but you are not for me", well actually one did....thanks I appreciated it....and I've replied to someone the same 'cos he sent me the message first but sadly he just was not my type (no not in a million years) !!!

I've started looking at men much younger and thinking what would they see in me?....although I reckon I could be a cougar really easily!!! LOL.

...Then again there seems to be an awful lot of men who seem to think it's impressive to have their photo taken standing next to what may or may not be their very own fancy sports car/yacht/motorbike......or posing in some exotic holiday destination/about to leap off a cliff/bungee jump/shark fish etc......."It don't impress me much!" as the song says...quite frankly I don't believe all these men in their 50's and early 60's are actually the action men they imply they are.

dot, dot, dot, you know what I mean?!!! :) ROFL

Then there are the types that think a casual photo is the approach to take.....mmmm?....I have no problem with this per se but come on ladies.....how many of you find the site of a man in shorts and Jesus sandals teamed with socks a turn on? You'd be amazed how many men seem to think this is the height of fashion....along with wearing their favourite football teams shirt in the most inappropriate places.....and to me that's anywhere other than on a football pitch if you happen to be a footballer!!! LOL

Mmmmm.....the more I look around these places the more I don't get it!!! Perhaps I'm being fussy....but I'd rather be fussy than desperate! LOL

I just can't seem to feel any connection, even if they are saying they like doing some of the stuff I do, it's about as far removed from reality as you can get!
Yes, I think for me, the only way is the old fashioned way...you know...seeing someone across a crowded room....liking the twinkle in their eyes....sensing a connection...you can't beat that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach can you? :)

I'm convinced this is all a journey I am being taken on to get me in a position where I don't bottle it the next time a dishy man in a grey suit says something rather wonderful!! Believe me, I'm not going to make that mistake again if I can help it!!! ROFLIA

(take note saddo's on dating sites, and that includes me 'cos just sometimes I don't do the following enough!)
Get out.....experience real life.....real music....real fun....LOL
xoxo Sioux

P.S. I've just been sent yet another e-mail from the dating sight inviting me to meet another new match, apparently he is as unique as I am.....somehow or other I doubt that very much (said in my most sarcastically smiley tone ever) ROFLIA :) :) :)

Brave Heart

I got my new Dylusions journal in the post yesterday.
Mmmm....I likey ;)

Love the inner envelope section...and the pages are a great weight too with proper sewn signatures ;)
So I just had to christen it didn't I? I decorated the inside front cover ;)

Red tissue paper and heart from the packaging it came in.

Stamped the tissue with Archival and an Artistic Stamper script and glued to the page (bit like T!ms October tag I've just noticed) except I used multi matte medium for that bit.....some paint dabbers in yellow, green and brown and highlighted some of the creases and edges with gold.

Various T!m die cut letters coated with black paint and glued on.
Think it makes a great cover and inspiration for filling all those lovely pages within :)

Turn back time

Had to use that large T!m skull again....this time cut in half on a tag. ;)

I was amazed when I ordered a set of stamps from Chocolate Baroque (a broken biscuit promotion) last Friday and it turned up on Saturday morning :) Great service.

Decided to pair the fabby top hat from the broken biscuit with the skull.
It made me happy :)
DI background and the web, script and spider from the mini hallowe'en set.
So....would you turn back time?
Some days I think I'd like to....some days, as odd as it sounds, I'm happy to follow the trail that life is showing me!

Thanks for looking
xoxo Sioux

P.S. I've just watched John Bishop...not laughed so much in a long while....ah...so reminiscent of Pip and his sort of humour...turn back time........?

Friday 5 October 2012

SCD is back! :)

Yes, yes, YES!!!
Strictly is back.......I am happy.
Whooo....Colin Salmon although so tall (not always a plus in dancing) might be my favourite! ;)
I have a sneaking suspicion ~Michael Vaughn could be the next cricketer to succeed.
Of the girls Denise was lovely but (and I am not being nasty...really I am not) she has a background of performance unlike all the rest,,,,yes Fern is in T.V. but it's not quite the same, I thought she was lovely too and I'd really like to see some more of Artem mmmmm......sexy or what?
Bring on Saturday.....I'll have to watch the recording as I am at an evening wedding reception.
xoxo Sioux
P.S. Happy Bond day!!!

Sex Bomb!

Thought I would combine two extremes of inspiration in one piece.
The new skull stamp by T!m from the mini Hallowe'en set...could not wait to get my hands on that stamp...and of course Mr Grey Suit Guy...
...well, any man in a suit within reason come to that!!! ROFLIA;)
(not to mention Mr Grey himself!!!)
My heart and I will never be able to break free! ;)

Dream Big

There were some very arty entries in the "Splatters and Speckles" challenge last month :)
So..... would you like to play along with this one then?
"Natural World"
That's the challenge for October over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team ;)
Make anything you like as long as it includes the theme of natural world.

I chose to make a journal page in my A5 size book and started by spritzing the page with Distress Inks in aged mahogany and faded jeans over gesso.

I stamped one of the flowers from botanical plate1 all around the edges in Archival coffee and then again randomly over the top with Archival black for a bit more definition.

The large letters were cut with the word play die from cardboard and coloured with black paint dabber and I added the calligraphic mat 13 randomly across the page with Archival aquamarine.

At this point I just knew the flutterbys would not show up if I stamped them direct on the page so chose to stamp them on card, colour and cut out.

I stamped a variety of flutterbys from the Insects and butterflies plate 1 plate in various Archival inks, aquamarine, coffee and black...and simply coloured each one with just one other colour of Distress Ink (wild honey, faded jeans, peeled paint and worn lipstick)...as you can see from the above picture this does give a nice variation in colour quite easily.

I did stamp each flutterby onto the page in Archival black simply to get a little definition and so allow the feelers to display well.......no point in trying to cut those out is there! LOL

I then made a sentiment up with the journaling mini words 1 and glued them to some black card with glossy accents and stuck them and the flutterbys to the page with it too.

You really must take a look at the "Natural World" creations the rest of the team have made and here are the DT member links for you.
Jennie and Louise.

So don't forget.............the monthly challenge is "Natural World"
The rules are simple... all you need to do is make a piece of art, be it a card, ATC, wall art, altered art, journal page ;)... just remember that it must include some rubber stamping and the theme... and... if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry you will be entered into the draw twice! The prize is £15 worth of stamps from the Artistic Stamper shop... along with the KlingOn to mount them onto.
I hope you get chance to play at the challenge... it is open until October 31st and the winner will be chosen by Random.org shortly after :)

Thanks for looking and happy stamping
