Hey! I'm back :)
The theme at SCD this week is Crowns...still in the twinchie format too.
I love that saying that goes something like
"Cats were once worshipped as Gods, cats have never forgotten this!"
I stippled the background with Spiced Marmalade and a bit of Shabby Shutters stamped the Inkadinkadoo cat and wording in Versafine and the heart type motif around the edges with Walnut Stain.......dragged Adirondack dimensional acrylic straight from the bottle to form the crown and stuck seed beads and a gem into it while still wet.....highlighted the cat with some hand drawn lines using copic markers.
I've had a great bank holiday with my friend and her DH.....shared some fun on Eurovision night....so O.K. Iceland did not win but I still love the song....in fact my friends choice scored more points than mine....mmmm maybe I ought to ask her opinion next year instead of the other way round LOL! Went to a fab wine bar in Modbury on Sunday....lovely food...great company....had a smooch round Totnes on Monday......shame I had to go to work Tues but needs must!!
Thanks for looking and happy stamping.
xoxo Sioux
P.S. In my weird world of late you have all been such a comfort and have lifted my spirits more than you will ever know.....just to say THANK YOU! And yes I make no apologies for shouting that!! :)

I love this piece probably because it has a cat theme. We are going to Totnes next month. It's one of our most fave places.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. Take care. Luv Joanne xx
I LOVE that crown! Fabby twinchie. I have a cat so totally agree that they think they have god-like status. As for the Eurovision Song Contest, the UK came last! How cool is that? We laughed so much. Working is such a drag, isn't it, but it buys some more crafting stuff I suppose! xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your very regal cat! My favourite cat saying is the one that goes 'Dogs have owners, cats have staff'. Yours should have a whole entourage! Thank you for your recent visit to my blog and your kind words. Happy to see you back. Penny x
ReplyDeleteOh, that's fantastic. Your cat saying is quite right.
ReplyDeletethis is just purrfect!!!!! Love the crown on the cat and the way it adds a splash of colour!!...glad you are still able to craft, continually thinking of you, Hugs Juls
ReplyDeleteYes it is true they have not forgotten in fact the only confusion is that the practie if worship is not wide spread today, at least that is how Chaos trained me. LOL the IMPs concur
