Home for Christmas for The Artistic Stamper

It was nice to see all the "Anything Goes" creations for last months challenge, some very, very arty beauty there folks :)
So..... how do you feel about this one then?
"Home for Christmas"
Yes it's a seasonal challenge for December over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team ;)

I decided to make a quadruple ATC display.

I made a background on white card by spraying Dylusions in vibrant turquoise, lemon zest and London blue and bleached out some colour by spraying water through a stencil and blotting off.
I then cut 4 pieces of card just a little smaller than ATC size as I knew I wanted to mount them on black ATC card blanks.
I wanted this to have a Christmas feel but perhaps not conventionally so!

On the first ATC:

...I stamped the Santa in Archival black, and added a touch of stickles to the circle surrounding him and a little white sparkly embossing to his moustache.
...stamped the holly motive in Distress peeled paint on each edge and added some red glitter to the berries.
To finish I added some mini journaling words.

On the second ATC:

...I stamped the word Home in Archival black all around the edges,
...I stamped two of the cute house images in Versamark on black card and heat embossed with sparkly white powder and cut them out and attached,
...stamped two hearts in Distress aged mahogany and cut out and attached.

On the third ATC:

...I stamped the Christmas greeting and candle images in Archival black,
...added some red glitter to the berries, added a touch of stickles to the circle surrounding the flames with some heat embossed sparkly white powder too.
To finish I added some mini journaling words.

On the fourth ATC:

...I stamped the Christmas greeting in Archival black,
...stamped the oblong star image in Versamark on black card and heat embossed with sparkly white powder,
...stamped three crowns in Distress aged mahogany onto a piece of previously inky coloured card, cut out and attached.

To finish I heat embossed gold powder on all the edges using a embossing pen to make a shabby border.
The atc's were joined together with some tissue tape.

List of stamps used:
Mini Christmas 1 plate
Crowning Glory
Home Sweet Home A5 plate
Mini Journaling Words 1

You really must take a look at the "Home for Christmas" creations the rest of the team have made and here are the DT member links for you.

So don't forget.............the monthly challenge is "Home for Christmas"
The rules are simple... all you need to do is make a piece of art, be it a card, ATC, wall art, altered art, scrapling ;)... just remember that it must include some rubber stamping and the theme... and... if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry you will be entered into the draw twice! The prize is £15 worth of stamps from the Artistic Stamper shop... along with the KlingOn to mount them onto.
I hope you get chance to play at the challenge... it is open until December 31st and the winner will be chosen by Random.org shortly after :)

Thanks for looking and happy stamping
xoxo Sioux

  2. This is inspiring! It makes me want to create an ATC book like this but with different images. I haven't felt like crafting much recently. To busy with other things.
