WOYWW....I return!!

Yikes and thrice yikes  WOYWW'ers.!!!!....

I've been away so long!

My table is once again seeing action.....

I am in the middle of making our wedding invites ;)
Need to get them in the post by end of the month!

Intended to make a great start on these over the Christmas break but the best laid plans as they say....
...we both got the winter vomiting bug....well at least that's what I think it was!!!
Suffice to say it was not quite the Christmas we had thought it would be ROFL ;)
Anyway both recovered now but did not feel really tickety boo until last week.

That twiddly die cut on the guillotine is a pain to remove from the die even with the slightly helpful layer of greaseproof paper first! After 50 of them I really have had enough of that little task for a while!!! LOL
Now to assemble the elements on the card :)

Thanks for looking and now it's time to head on over and visit Julia who has all the desks in the world on show today :)
xoxo Sioux

  1. Ooh! Preparations are going well! Have fun! Chrisx

  2. Glad you're both feeling better! Good luck with the invites, hope you get time for some painty fun soon.

  3. You are great to make invites, I make cards but have no attention span to do them as I can't do piece work like that! I see you used a Vagabond (I love mine) it makes my life so much easier for my hands! Love the die cuts you will be applying. Winnie#68

  4. How exciting to be making your own invites, even if the die was annoying! Love the design :-)
And I'm glad you're both feeling better...
    Hugs, LLJ 38 xx

  5. Glad you're feeling better. I'll bet the invites are going to be marvellous.

  6. great to see you crafting again and glad you both feel better. I doubt I shall be making invitations despite it being our silver wedding anniversary when you get married. No idea where we will be just wish it was on Hels' cruise!!

  7. Great to see you back, Sioux. You look in full swing there and how exciting to have such lovely things to make for your big day. Keep going with those die cuts, it'll all be worth it.

  8. It must be fun making your own invitations. #2

  9. What better project could there be than that. Congrats. This week is my first time back to WOYWW too. Glad I dropped by. Susanne #66

  10. So sorry Christmas was spoilt by you both being ill - and in such a horrid way! Glad you're on the mend so you can crack on with those invites! it's LOVELY to see you back desking!! Helen , #23 (but you've already visited, thank you.)

  11. Oh wow, I can see that cutting one of those... ok, cutting 50... not so much fun.

Glad you got through it and glad you're feeling better.

    Happy Woyww,

  12. That does look like a fiddly die! Hope you manage to get them all done with out losing too many hairs. #35

  13. glad you are feeling better, looking forward to seeing the finished invites Lx

  14. Good news, Spellbinders has just invented a new tool to help us clean out those detail die in a snap. I have a problem with them too. Peg R #91

  15. I am so glad you are on the mend. I also am amazed at anyone who tackles making wedding invitations! I wish you the best! :) Thanks for the earlier visit! #45

  16. Oooh the invites are looking fun, hard work though, I'm making some for my brother/SIL to be. Take care Zo xx 59

  17. Always very hard work to make your own invites, but oh so rewarding and so much cheaper too.
    Happy very belated WOYWW!

  18. For being number 1 this week, I've sure taken a long time to return your visit. Blame it on Blogger, the fact that I didn't have your number, and life getting in the way.

Those invites are going to be fabulous and you will surely feel the savings. I read about a new tool that came out at CHA that supposedly gets rid of those little bits left by a die. Bet it won't hit the stores in time for you, though. happy very belated WOYWW.

Thank you for showing an interest in my blog and taking the time to leave a comment.....I truly love to read what you keeps me sane(ish)!
