Here we go again!!!

Would you believe it!
There's nowt so queer as guys on dating sites!!!
That guy I met the other Saturday?....well you guessed it....did not ring...and then stopped replying to messages.

I stopped it right then and made it clear I'm not the sort to chase after a man and neither was I one of those desperate women out there who wanted any man at any cost!!
Bye, bye sunshine!
I'm not standing any nonsense from now on!!! ROFL

I'm on a dating site 'cos I'd like to go on dates!!!!
In reality I'd like to meet the man of my dreams but at this rate it does not seem very likely!!!

Eurovision here we come!

You know I love the Eurovision Song Contest don't you?
No? Well where have you been! LOL

I have placed my bet on Ireland (it's the one thing during the year that I have a flutter on ;))...I love it but what is more important is the odds are in my favour for a rather nice return if it does win....(secretly I liked Denmark better but I'm not wasting my money on an odds on bet!!)

I feel some very sexy Zumba moves coming on!!! LOL

Lets take a chance!

So about Saturday!
I'm sure you are dying to know!!! LOL
It had a faltering start as the time had to be altered as he had two viewings for his house sale that is ongoing....O.K. I thought, is this the start of another lot of excuses! LOL ;)

Any ways...we met...and funnily he approached someone who happened to have red hair who was in the vicinity (I was looking out over the harbour and had my back to him and also had my hat on so he did not know it was me!).

I think we got on.....only time and further meetings can confirm that though...I am not expecting an instant attraction (although the hopeless romantic in me keeps hoping) ;)
He says he is going to ring to arrange a dinner date!
Well that will be a first!!! ROFL

Or is that a euphemism for I like you but perhaps I don't like you that much but can't say so to your face and in reality I'll never ring you again ;)
Heavens it's tricky trying to find that special someone as you get older! LOL

I am still holding out for that HERO....it needs to be nothing less!!!

The journey continues.

How many Frogs?

I've made a journal page for the delightful Dawn's Journal Journey's challenge this month which is  "Quotes".

This quote has always made me smile.....more so just recently ;)) !!! ROFLIA

I created the frogs in my graphic programme and cut them out and attached to suited men ;)
Of course the only real Prince I could include had to be RA :)
Mmmmmm.

I'm meeting a guy on Saturday lunch for the first time....we talked on the phone the other day and he sounds nice....only lives in the next town and he is a couple years younger than me...
...oh er that's a little scary to me as I've always been attracted to older men but the older I get the less attractive that proposition is!! ROFLIA

Sounds like he might actually have time to go on dates if we hit it off too!!! LOL

Thanks for looking today.

Caro Mia!

I loved...loved....loved the Caro Emerald concert on Radio 2 and on-line tonight.
But......who were the audience?
I could have made that much noise on my own!!!!

When I first bought her album Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor I fell in love with every track.....but...little did I know that those tracks would help with the journey I have taken on the on-line dating thing.
And bloke in next town did not live up to expectations!
His window of opportunity closed. ROFLIA

It is his loss not mine!

RA just might be watching this blog and waiting for his opportunity!!! ROFL

Breathless for The Artistic Stamper

We had some wonderful entries for the "Tags" in last months challenge...
...I just love tags :)
So..... how do you feel about this one then?
"Texture"...and guess what? I made a tag!!! ROFL ;)

Yes that's the challenge for April over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team ;)

I started by doing a swooshing background of Distress Inks on the tag and then cut some letters with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die out of plain white card and then some corrugated card. Attached the white card letters first with glossy accents and added the corrugated letters on top.
I peeled back the top layer of corrugated card on a couple of the letters for some extra texture and smeared some Inca Gold copper over to highlight the ridges.
Then coloured a couple of the letters with Distress Paints in seedless preserves with pickled raspberry dabbed on top and the other couple of letters with raspberry first and seedless preserves dabbed on top.

I stamped the ruler from Sewing A5 plate by Katy Fox and Life is a Circle from Journaling words 1 in Archival sepia.

The dancer was stamped in Versafine black onto a cardstock that was textured and that made a lovely distressed look to it....and the plinth from the Architecture plate 1 was stamped onto some sticky backed cork sheet and cut out...then the thread top image from Sewing A5 plate was stamped onto some Claudine Helmuth sticky backed canvas coloured with Dylusions and sprayed with some Perfect pear mist over the top.

The wording is a mixture of the words from Journaling mini words 1 the word Life and a semi-handwritten word "Breathless" which I intended to be a rub on but my rub on letter sheets are ANCIENT! and did not rub off that good!

So went over them with a black marker pen and they then looked not half bad ;)

The open wing from the Dancer plate was stamped over a stamped background using the Dance plate and cut out...the edges were scuffed up and coloured with Distress inks bundled sage and vintage photo. and a bit of tissue tape was folded in half and added to the top and secured with a couple of staples.

You really must take a look at the "Texture" creations the rest of the team have made.

So don't forget.............the monthly challenge is "Texture"
The rules are simple... all you need to do is make a piece of art, be it a card, ATC, wall art, altered art, tag ;)... just remember that it must include some rubber stamping and the theme... and... if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry you will be entered into the draw twice! The prize is £15 worth of stamps from the Artistic Stamper shop... along with the KlingOn to mount them onto.
I hope you get chance to play at the challenge... it is open until April 30th and the winner will be chosen by Random.org shortly after :)

Thanks for looking and happy stamping
