Yikes it just might be real!

I talked (on the phone not just on-line typing chat) to that man at last.
Yikes!!! He seems real :) Yikes!!! He seems genuine :)
Yikes!!! He seems awfully busy with work commitments!!! Mmmmmm?
He does not seem like the sort of bloke who has women lined up in the wings....
...but you never know! LOL

Somehow or other I don't believe the sort of bloke that buys a fire engine because it was made in the year he was born, or takes his "home from Uni" daughter to grandma to help decorate her tree can be all that bad ;)

I'll let you know if we eventually meet up ;)

Wanted!

Hi folks!

I had so much fun making this page....featuring 3 of my hottest male fantasies!! ROFL
Rufus, Richard and Luca (Inspector Montalbano)...and mystery man?...well one of these days I'm hoping he will turn into reality and will be "The one that I want"...I have to believe there is someone out there for me....I absolutely hate living on my own, I've come to realise I function better as part of a couple ;)
I made this at my weekend away with crafting friends Sue and Laura

We went to Jamie Oliver's in Bath on Friday for my birthday and crafted all day Saturday and Sunday morning too...we shared such a lot of wicked laughs and surprisingly I actually made a few things!!! My heart has just not been in crafting of late
Big hugs and thanks for sharing the weekend girls. :)

I'm in the mood for love

I've made a tag today for Hels Sunday Stamper.

So am I in the mood for love?
Well obviously yes, otherwise I would not have signed up to a dating site!
I some how don't think it's ever going to work with anyone who lives more than say 25 miles away though.
So how nice that someone in Exmouth started e-mail conversations with me a few weeks ago...which led to telephone conversations...which led to actually meeting up for the first time yesterday. :)
Heavens! It's a bit weird meeting someone like that...he seemed a nice chap for someone but not for me....There was no chemistry thing going on....so we agreed that was the end of it!!!
Hey ho...back to the drawing board...and my fantasies! ROFL

Home for Christmas for The Artistic Stamper

It was nice to see all the "Anything Goes" creations for last months challenge, some very, very arty beauty there folks :)
So..... how do you feel about this one then?
"Home for Christmas"
Yes it's a seasonal challenge for December over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team ;)

I decided to make a quadruple ATC display.

I made a background on white card by spraying Dylusions in vibrant turquoise, lemon zest and London blue and bleached out some colour by spraying water through a stencil and blotting off.
I then cut 4 pieces of card just a little smaller than ATC size as I knew I wanted to mount them on black ATC card blanks.
I wanted this to have a Christmas feel but perhaps not conventionally so!

On the first ATC:

...I stamped the Santa in Archival black, and added a touch of stickles to the circle surrounding him and a little white sparkly embossing to his moustache.
...stamped the holly motive in Distress peeled paint on each edge and added some red glitter to the berries.
To finish I added some mini journaling words.

On the second ATC:

...I stamped the word Home in Archival black all around the edges,
...I stamped two of the cute house images in Versamark on black card and heat embossed with sparkly white powder and cut them out and attached,
...stamped two hearts in Distress aged mahogany and cut out and attached.

On the third ATC:

...I stamped the Christmas greeting and candle images in Archival black,
...added some red glitter to the berries, added a touch of stickles to the circle surrounding the flames with some heat embossed sparkly white powder too.
To finish I added some mini journaling words.

On the fourth ATC:

...I stamped the Christmas greeting in Archival black,
...stamped the oblong star image in Versamark on black card and heat embossed with sparkly white powder,
...stamped three crowns in Distress aged mahogany onto a piece of previously inky coloured card, cut out and attached.

To finish I heat embossed gold powder on all the edges using a embossing pen to make a shabby border.
The atc's were joined together with some tissue tape.

List of stamps used:
Mini Christmas 1 plate
Crowning Glory
Home Sweet Home A5 plate
Mini Journaling Words 1

You really must take a look at the "Home for Christmas" creations the rest of the team have made and here are the DT member links for you.

So don't forget.............the monthly challenge is "Home for Christmas"
The rules are simple... all you need to do is make a piece of art, be it a card, ATC, wall art, altered art, scrapling ;)... just remember that it must include some rubber stamping and the theme... and... if you use Artistic Stamper stamps on your entry you will be entered into the draw twice! The prize is £15 worth of stamps from the Artistic Stamper shop... along with the KlingOn to mount them onto.
I hope you get chance to play at the challenge... it is open until December 31st and the winner will be chosen by Random.org shortly after :)

Thanks for looking and happy stamping

The winking gets worse!

Well the most odd people keep winking at me on that old matchmaker site, sadly none have been as debonair as David Niven was!! ;) Still, I'm keeping an open mind ;)

One of the recent winks was from a man who has never been married and is aged 52.
...now I wonder why? Said in my most sarcastic voice ever! ROFLIA!!!
As.......in his own words.....(this is what he does for fun!!!)

"i go on the laptop and enjoy going to my friends and looking after their pigoens"

You would think if he liked pigeons that much he would, at the very least, know how to spell it!!!

God help me!!! ;)
Needless to say I won't be getting in touch with that one! ROFL

On a much brighter note I got myself out in the real world tonight with my oldest chums and saw the Budapest Cafe Orchestra

appearing in our local theatre.
If you enjoy live music and appreciate good musicians then do try and catch them at a venue near you, it transported me to one of the best holidays ever  :)

Wishing for December 14th!

So...folks....why am I wishing for December 14th to arrive?
The Hobbit goes on general film release (UK premier on the 12th)
I can't wait to get my fix of RA as Thorin :)

Not only is he nice looking and ooozily (is that a real word! LOL) sexy, but he appears to be an all round nice guy.....I like that ;)
xoxo Sioux

P.S. I've got two little somethings to share with you for The Artistic Stamper tomorrow.
...see you then ;)

Searching for?

Hi all!
Just thought I'd share that I've just been able to add a picture of RA to my side bar on one of the dating sites I'm on! It's part of sharing who you are ;)
Pity the men don't seem to want to share their favourite things too!
I was so excited about the RA picture....perhaps it says a lot about what I'm really searching for! And it's not a man who lives in Bangor, that's too big a distance to succeed!...and what's more he did not even know where the place I live is....heavens if he is that thick he most definitely 'aint for me! ROFLIA :)

This site also has a facility to press a button and send a wink....it's so easy to do but I have not winked at anyone yet :(
You would be amazed at the amount of men on this site that send you a wink yet have no picture uploaded....I ask you....would you in all honesty start up a conversation with someone who was wearing a paper bag over their head?
Because that's what it feels like!!!
Call me shallow but I need to see what someone looks like first :)

Midnight Tango

Ooh Yes! That midnight tango opening piece was fab was it not?
I so lurve the Argentine Tango...oh for RA to teach it to me one of these days ROFL ;)

I am in lurve with Andre Rieu too...have seen him on my foreign sat channels for a long time before he became popular here....don't know why it took so long!! And ooh that rumba from Natalie and Brendon.......wowzer!
Sehr, sehr schön
It always gets difficult as the weeks progress to say goodye to a dance couple....I have to be truthful and Kimberley did not really do it for me but hey! What do I know!
God I am so going to miss Artem and Fern!

Dreamboat Three

Just a quick post to say thanks to the gals at Dragons Dream for making me one of the Dreamboat Three this week!
It was for my temptation tag.....I really enjoyed making that one...wicked girl that I am! ROFLIA

I have added the button in my side bar and will wear it with pride.

Thanks again for the inspiration.....believe me these days it does not come easily to me...somebody shake me up in a sack!!! ROFL

Pink for Less is More

I have not joined in many challenges lately.....life, holidays, general lack of motivation has got in the way!!! LOL
So hold on to your hats I've made a little something for Less is More this week who have a colour challenge pink ;)

I'm not really a pink sort of gal so this really was a bit of a challenge although you perhaps could not understand that looking at this simple card!!! HOL
Just different T!m stamps with the addition of a little Papertrey bird on the handle bars ;)
It made me happy ;)

Thanks for looking

Breathing? Living?

I heard this quote on the radio and realised it's exactly how I feel quite a lot of the time lately!
Just knew I had to make a journal page for it then ;)

Sprayed Dylusions on the page in my Dyan journal and over stamped the images in Archival aquamarine to make a background using my  hand carved lady

small T!m skull and the large and small Happy word from the Hallowe'en T!m sets.
The scroll was added in Archival black and perfect pearls in blue and copper dusted over parts of it for a bit of a change....hope you can see the shimmer ;)

then faded jeans and vintage photo used to age around the edges.
As I've used quite a bit of blue on this I'm entering it in Hels Sunday Stamper this week which is to use blue ;) Thanks for the inspiration Hels :)

Satisfy Me!

Satisfy me?
OOoooh yes....that opening dance by the boys on Strictly definitely hit the spot!! ROFL
Last night Lewis hit another spot and as to Artem...be still my beating heart!!! :)
Tonight was a great show....loved The Wanted, loved Andrea Bochelli even more..
thought it fair that Richard and Erin stayed.

Remember I told you about Gabriel's Inferno  ? ;)
Read it and loved it ;) Remember I could not find the sequel Gabriel's Rapture in the Kindle bookstore?
Well hurrah! It suddenly appeared so I had to have it LOL

It is not a Shades of Grey type book although there are some sexy episodes in it!!

I like it on both counts for that ;) So I've finished this and would recommend the series if you are on the lookout for a replacement to Mr Grey....Gabriel is also a caring, dishy, sexy, complex, vulnerable, but not so kinky guy who wears suits!!!

Aaah! I think I see where the fascination with Mr Grey Suit Guy might be coming from!!! ROFLIA :) :) :)

The good news is there is book 3 in the writing....you can count me in on that when it comes out :)

Garden Update

Joanne asked the other day how my garden was, so here is a little update if you are interested ;)
A year on from the make over my garden looks like this

and this

As opposed to this

and this!!

I have to be honest, I'd hoped that most things would have been a lot bigger than they are by now, I'm sure if Monty Don had planted them they would be!!! I suppose I should be grateful that they are still alive with the weather we have had this year!! LOL

So the Mahonia is bigger now

than last year

The Aucuba is bigger now

than last year

The bamboo is bigger now

than last year (very happy with that)

Last years narrow border

This years narrow border

Last years larger border

This years larger border

I spent the day relaxing in my garden

It's what it was made for :)

the only concession to the fact it's October was wearing a pair of socks!!

Aaah bliss! :) :)

Touch me!

What can I say! ;)

This is in my very small journal and was inspired by one of my unreal real dreams the other night...
...and no I'm not that weird! There was not a skeleton fondling me!!!
It's quite a shocking experience to have such real and tactile dream's.
I was torn between not wanting it to end and wishing that it would!!!
Scary and sexy at the same time...yikes!!! LOL

I just know I must have been making some funny noises as I eventually snapped out of the dream!!! ROFL
Thanks for looking.

Resist Temptation? Not me!!

Mmmm...How could I resist?

I'm not one to deny temptation...it's all around us and life is too short to resist!!! ROFL

The resist bit is the T!m scroll stamped in Versamark and clear embossed on a buff tag and aged mahogany tapped over a chicken wire mask.
Aged mahogany inks and Dylusions chocolate pretty much does the rest.
Just for a bit of contrast the sentiment "Why resist temptation" is stamped onto card coloured with Dylusions lemon zing and vibrant turquoise (the amalgamation makes that fabby green!)
Pity that I can't get the circular element in the corner to photograph better 'cos in reality it's a Cava top that actually says "Cava" and is coloured with red alcohol inks.....
....it's the reason for the tag!!!
Hey ho....try and imagine it if you can!

Hope you liked your visit today.
This has given me another idea for a journal page ;)

My mojo, even though you might not think so (thanks for your continuing support with your much appreciated comments), is so hard to come by in the past few months that this tag was something I just had to do :) :)

Dating Me?!

Mmmm... no I'm not dating anyone....sadly the man in the grey suit has not turned up yet! LOL
But I'll let you into a secret......I joined a couple of dating sites.
...I'd rather like to have someone to cuddle...and the love I get from the visiting cat is not enough to satisfy my needs....wink, wink, say no more ;) ;)

I have to say the dating sites have left me rather under whelmed!!! ROFL

Firstly...if the blokes are around my age they seem in the main to look old enough to be my dad.....hell....most of the rest that the sites say are a match ARE old enough to be my dad!

And at my age that's not something that turns me on in the slightest!

Perhaps they think I look old enough to be their mother who knows?!!!

Because, secondly.....you won't get to know someone if they are not prepared to engage in initial messaging conversation!!! I've sent messages and no one bothers to even reply "sorry but you are not for me", well actually one did....thanks I appreciated it....and I've replied to someone the same 'cos he sent me the message first but sadly he just was not my type (no not in a million years) !!!

I've started looking at men much younger and thinking what would they see in me?....although I reckon I could be a cougar really easily!!! LOL.

...Then again there seems to be an awful lot of men who seem to think it's impressive to have their photo taken standing next to what may or may not be their very own fancy sports car/yacht/motorbike......or posing in some exotic holiday destination/about to leap off a cliff/bungee jump/shark fish etc......."It don't impress me much!" as the song says...quite frankly I don't believe all these men in their 50's and early 60's are actually the action men they imply they are.

dot, dot, dot, you know what I mean?!!! :) ROFL

Then there are the types that think a casual photo is the approach to take.....mmmm?....I have no problem with this per se but come on ladies.....how many of you find the site of a man in shorts and Jesus sandals teamed with socks a turn on? You'd be amazed how many men seem to think this is the height of fashion....along with wearing their favourite football teams shirt in the most inappropriate places.....and to me that's anywhere other than on a football pitch if you happen to be a footballer!!! LOL

Mmmmm.....the more I look around these places the more I don't get it!!! Perhaps I'm being fussy....but I'd rather be fussy than desperate! LOL

I just can't seem to feel any connection, even if they are saying they like doing some of the stuff I do, it's about as far removed from reality as you can get!
Yes, I think for me, the only way is the old fashioned way...you know...seeing someone across a crowded room....liking the twinkle in their eyes....sensing a connection...you can't beat that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach can you? :)

I'm convinced this is all a journey I am being taken on to get me in a position where I don't bottle it the next time a dishy man in a grey suit says something rather wonderful!! Believe me, I'm not going to make that mistake again if I can help it!!! ROFLIA

(take note saddo's on dating sites, and that includes me 'cos just sometimes I don't do the following enough!)
Get out.....experience real life.....real music....real fun....LOL
xoxo Sioux

P.S. I've just been sent yet another e-mail from the dating sight inviting me to meet another new match, apparently he is as unique as I am.....somehow or other I doubt that very much (said in my most sarcastically smiley tone ever) ROFLIA :) :) :)

Brave Heart

I got my new Dylusions journal in the post yesterday.
Mmmm....I likey ;)

Love the inner envelope section...and the pages are a great weight too with proper sewn signatures ;)
So I just had to christen it didn't I? I decorated the inside front cover ;)

Red tissue paper and heart from the packaging it came in.

Stamped the tissue with Archival and an Artistic Stamper script and glued to the page (bit like T!ms October tag I've just noticed) except I used multi matte medium for that bit.....some paint dabbers in yellow, green and brown and highlighted some of the creases and edges with gold.

Various T!m die cut letters coated with black paint and glued on.
Think it makes a great cover and inspiration for filling all those lovely pages within :)

Thanks for looking
