Paris Meal sans Quasimodo!

Just popping in to say thanks for the well wishes for the entertaining I did last Friday.
It all went well, although we had to eat inside because of the weather :(
What I have discovered is.......there are limitations as to what can be accomplished when doing this sort of thing on your own!
My problem is that for too long I have been used to Pip doing all the catering and the entertaining bit!!!
I could focus on the pretty finishing touches....right plates....right glasses...printed menu on the table....etc...etc.
I'll just have to get used to doing it differently won't I? :)

I just know that if Pip had been there we would have been treated (?!!!) to his Quasimodo party piece........again!!!! A great mimic our Pip ;)

If you had never seen it before it was one hell of a laugh but seeing as we have all been entertained with it on more than one occasion over the years perhaps it was a saving grace! :) ROFL

I wonder how I will feel when I eventually see Notre Dame!

  1. At least you have room inside to entertain - as you know from peaks at my workdesk shots, I don't have room to swing a cat - or Quasimodo! - glad Friday went well - the more you do the easier it will get!!

  2. When my dad was bad with 'solar allergy' and his face swelled so much, I used to call him Quasimodo, then when he slipped a disc and got the bent back, it was more appropriate!! We used to laugh at that. I looked for him all those years ago when I went to Paris and saw Notre Dam. Funny how our memories work eh?

  5. I'm glad your entertaining went well despite having to be indoors, Sioux. I'm sure it's strange having to do it on your own, you'll just have to start some new traditions of your own.
Thanks for your lovely comments. You must get back to Zell if you can, it's a stunning place isn't it. I'd be off tomorrow given the chance.
