I have been putting off posting this as there has already been too much sadness and this was the final blow!!!! But I need to write this as I believe it will help the healing somehow.
See I'm crying already! :''''(
My cutie pie Fitzgerald had sudden catastrophic heart failure 2 weeks to the day after my Pip died.........can you believe it? I know I certainly could not!!!
I had to drive to the next town at 2 in the morning to meet the vet at the surgery....everything was clouded by a very watery veil as I drove!
She said they would keep him for observation but things did not look good.
It was such a shock as he had not been ill at all
....the vet confirmed it really can be that sudden......a blood clot had come away from the heart and blocked the main artery leading to the legs.
The following morning I had, needed, was grateful to hold him as he passed away....he was only 13.
Bless my friend......she was with me when Phil passed away and she shared this moment too.....it's really too much too ask of anyone....but I shall be forever grateful.
I'll leave you with some pictures of Fitzgerald whos' ashes will be scattered with Pips
.... and just to add Pip did not want flowers for his funeral (although I carried a spray of white lilies..........his favourite......and placed it on the coffin) he very much wanted the money to go to Animals in Distress to help secure happy safe lives for unwanted pets.....it was a happy/sad time when I found out the donations amounted to £197.00. Thank you everyone for your donations it is all that Pip would have wished. xoxo Sioux
At first I thought dragons...castles....knights....then one thought led to another and I ended up with this......well it is MY fantasy!!! LOL
I found a picture I liked of tango dancers and I digitally played around with a photo of Richard Armitage (you know how much I like him right?) and pasted his face onto it...printed it off and cut out the dancers. Added some stamping.....spookily the T!m dance step seems to depict the Tango....(although it does not have the final left foot on the left hand side....perhaps design wise it did not look right).......how delish is that?!!!
Here is the googled image of tango steps I found.
Oooooooooh.........I'm tingling drooling at the thought
.....dancing the Argentine Tango with Richard Armitage...........I read somewhere it's supposed to be his favourite dance....quite frankly I can go with that!!!
Now hold that image of long legs and sultry movements
....but in reality it would be better thinking Vicar of Dibley in my case 'cos I'd only come up to his?......woow I'm that short?!!! HOL Thanks for looking and happy fantasies! xoxo Sioux P.S. Maybe I'll start dance classes you just never know! :))))
Over at SCD this week the prompt is "Are You Sitting Comfortably?"
My brain being what it is made me think this!!! HOL
If you have been on CS Stamper blog in the past few days you will have seen the debate about digi stamps.....well.....I could not have done this if I did not have that digi hedgehog! Actually seeing as I drew it in the first place I probably could have....but lifes too short to spend time drawing and believe me it does not come easy to me.......when I drew this originally many years ago it took me about a week to get right!!!
Bet you can't guess what I was doing at 11:45 last night!!!
Mmmmm! The title might give it away a little...........
In my wisdom I made gazpacho! I know it is not to every ones taste but I do like it :)
It went into the fridge overnight and I had a bowl around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon...I think it had a little too much garlic....but hey! I've been used to having the best cook in the world making it for me to perfection...as a first attempt it was not all bad!!! LOL
I'm getting into the groove as they say...........for a little break with my girlie friends to Valencia real soon..........it was Cava time again.......listening to the bands at the park...we have something called the "Happening" where there is an outdoor stage and everyone gathers to enjoy a party atmosphere......I decided to stay in my own back garden this year as I can hear the bands really well and I don't have to bother to cart a seat/food/drink to the park!!!!
I need to go back outside to listen to the band now....so Hasta Mañana!
I coloured the base card with DI Pumice Stone........I don't know about you but I think pumice stone is more like old paper than DI Old Paper is!! LOL
The lips (DI Aged Mahogany) and the hearts (coloured with Copics) are wooden stamps that were in a job lot from QVC many moons ago and the long skinney tag is a Paperartsy stamp I bought recently from Scrapz who have a bit of a sale going on so if you get over there pronto you might grab a bargain just like me! The extra little tag.....(two tags on one project..do I get extra points?) LOL.......was hand cut and the sentiment is from a Popcorn the bear plate.
I met up with Joanne (My Tobyjug) on Sunday as she was in my vicinity on her hols with hubby. We had a great afternoon
.......shared a few laughs
.........had a few drinks
........shared a few tears (it's all the fault of lovable furriness called cats!)
.......exchanged some art work
and here is the gorgeous creation Joanne had made for me.......
is it not fabulicious?......another damp eye moment LOL.
Thanks for the hospitality and I'll be reciprocating when I get up to your end of the country
.....Oh Yes I will!!!!!
My new computer is now up and running although I am still not up to date with loading all the programmes on to it again from discs or fonts that have gone walkabout that I need to find again somewhere on the net!!!! Argh!!!
.....My social life seems to be taking over....where did that come from?!........out with the girls on Friday for a pre holiday evening get together to discuss the vagaries of Ryan Air baggage allowances amongst other things......out on Saturday trying to find some new shoes for my hols......amazingly for me...'cos I'm a fussy devil when it comes to shoes and that's the reason I usually only have a couple of pairs to choose from....I found 4 pairs I liked and bought them all.....oh heck you're a long time dead and I won't need any more shoes for some time now!!! LOL
Then Saturday evening a meal at Prezzo with more friends before going to see Joey the Lips...a great 11 piece localish band in the style of the Commitments is the only way I can describe them....sax, trumpet, trombone, drums, bass and electric guitar, drummer, 3 singers....yes that is only 10 but a girl who used to play in the band and plays sax also was over on hols from Spain where she moved to......if you ever get the chance to see them do so.....they played at Ruth Langsford and Eamon Holmes wedding the weekend before.
And of course Sunday I met up with Joanne :)
Going to have to curb all this gallivanting or I'll never make any art at this rate!! LOL
Married to the most fabulous man....the love of my life.
Lover of all things arty! But where to find the time to create and earn a living! You won't necessarily find the latest must have crafting goodies here.....I don't work in the craft industry......I'm just trying to do the best I can with what I've got!!! Hopefully it turns into something I quite like along the way. LOL
Constantly striving to improve.......constantly worrying that the "powers that be" will destroy the fishing industry and I'll be out of a job!!!
Forever grateful that I live in a beautiful part of the country.
