Shooters!

Just popping in to share this ATC seeing as I've not posted anything I've made for a bit!
But that's because I haven't made anything for a bit apart from my DT work!
I'm looking forward to having a play when I finish work for Christmas! :)

I made this to give to Lindsay Mason when I did the workshop in September.
We started communicating when she first started her blog as we found out we both had posters on our bedroom walls of these two when we were younger!

The background is a stamped T!m script and I manipulated the images of Pete and Ben to get them to fit on the T!m die shape....they were printed onto some kraft coloured card which added to the time worn look I think.........Studio G word fragments to finish.
Thanks for looking
xoxo Sioux

EDIT: After reading some of your comments I did a bit of a google myself and cannot believe that it's nearly 39 years since Pete decided that life was too great a burden and took his own life. :( .....Life is too precious to contemplate such a thing yet tragically many people do.
....surround yourself with people you love......cultivate your friendships
....believe that tomorrow will be a better day!!! :)

  5. Oh...my...shooting...stars! I was such a big fan of these two fellas and the series, of course. My best friend Susan was in love with Pete (God rest him) and I was head over heels mad for Ben. For me it was the perfect antidote to my missing my beloved Blue on 'The High Chaparral,' my all-time favourite western back when I was just a young'un. What you've made really made my day, and made me smile, and brought back great childhood memories. Have yourself a lovely Christmas, and thanks for sharing.

  9. Hi Zoechaos - Oh, Ben Murphy's still acting in lots of TV movies and series. Sadly though, Pete Duel is no longer with us. I won't go into the details, as it's quite sad and tragic, but you can probably Google his name if you're interested. He was such an excellent actor, and a complete natural on 'Alias Smith and Jones,' with a great one-screen chemistry with Ben Murphy. After Pete died, another excellent actor replaced him - Roger Davis. The first time I saw him was on a brilliant 60's gothic/horror daytime soap from the US called 'Dark Shadows. Roger Davis was excellent, but he couldn't replace Pete Duel.

This brought back lots of great, happy as well as bittersweet memories, so thanks for the post, and for the excellent, imaginative ATC. I think I'd like to do one of Blue and Manolito from 'The High Chaparral' one of these days.
