I need to share sad news!

I have been putting off posting this as there has already been too much sadness and this was the final blow!!!! But I need to write this as I believe it will help the healing somehow.
See I'm crying already! :''''(
My cutie pie Fitzgerald had sudden catastrophic heart failure 2 weeks to the day after my Pip died.........can you believe it? I know I certainly could not!!!
I had to drive to the next town at 2 in the morning to meet the vet at the surgery....everything was clouded by a very watery veil as I drove!
She said they would keep him for observation but things did not look good.
It was such a shock as he had not been ill at all
....the vet confirmed it really can be that sudden......a blood clot had come away from the heart and blocked the main artery leading to the legs.
The following morning I had, needed, was grateful to hold him as he passed away....he was only 13.
Bless my friend......she was with me when Phil passed away and she shared this moment too.....it's really too much too ask of anyone....but I shall be forever grateful.
I'll leave you with some pictures of Fitzgerald whos' ashes will be scattered with Pips
.... and just to add Pip did  not want flowers for his funeral (although I carried a spray of white lilies..........his favourite......and placed it on the coffin) he very much wanted the money to go to Animals in Distress to help secure happy safe lives for unwanted pets.....it was a happy/sad time when I found out the donations amounted to £197.00.
Thank you everyone for your donations it is all that Pip would have wished.
xoxo Sioux

  11. I do hope this is the last of all this sadness for you. Surely there can be no more. It is far too much for anyone to bear let alone on your own.

    Sending many hugs and thoughts.

  15. Oh darl i am so sorry. I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. At this time you will only be feeling deep sadness but as each day that goes by you will be able to think of all of those amazing memories you have had with both Pip & Fitzgerald. They both would have had wonderful and amazing lives with you. Take comfort in knowing that they are both together and looking over you. Take care of yourself and make sure that you talk, cry and share your feelings with your friends and family and all of us in blog land. Thinking of you hun. Warm hugs Clare xxx

  21. Oh my you are really going through the mill hunny.

both of them so soon after one another not to mention...

I know you will be ok, but it will be so hard. I recently lost Dita our rescue dog and I am feeling better now after two months (not over her obviously) but I have stopped crying.

Dude (my B'Day cat) has helped so much I have to say. Any thoughts of new cats crossed your mind? I know it's soon and I couldn't possibly have gotten another dog But cats are such wonderful companions and really do help the healing process etc

I hope your not offended I am just so sad for you (Crying as speakng/typing) Virtual hugs and love to you hun

    Love Dawn xx
